Here is a super rare, one of kind piece of guitar history and a must have for any Charvel Jackson / San Dimas collector. After Wayne Charvel sold his guitar company to Grover Jackson in 1978, he started a short lived shop in Redlands California and produced guitars under the "Wayne Charvel" or "W.C." brand name. This shop produced less than 200 guitars. This is one of those guitars. It sports a "W.C." headstock logo and engraved Redlands California neck plate. It features a hockey headstock neck. [ Wayne sourced these from Boogie Bodies ] and a bound Explorer body with Flame Maple top. It has a set of Seymour Duncan pickups that I believe were added later. [ I would suspect that Dimarzio pickups were originally used ] Wayne only used 2 screws to mount the trem. [ the other 4 holes were drilled but never had mounting screws installed ] As for condition, it has a small chip at the neck pocket, some clear coat checking in the finish, and a few dings and normal wear that you would expect from a guitar made in the late 70's / early 80's. Nothing major. It plays and sounds great. It definitely has a great look. More rare than a San Dimas Charvel. We have been selling guitars a long time, this is the first W.C. guitar I have ever seen in person. This is a great opportunity to own a super rare vintage guitar at a fair price with excellent investment potential. Includes its original hard shell case.
