Here is a really cool vintage Strat that won't break the bank. It is a non tremolo "hardtail" model. Some players prefer this as it stays in tune great and offers better sustain. It also has a rosewood fretboard which is less common for this model as 90 percent of 70's Strats came with a maple fretboard. This example plays well and the tone is everything you could want from a 70's Strat. It has an "S8" serial number [ 1978 ] with original late 1980 pickups which indicates final assembly in 1980 / 81. This is not uncommon at all as S8 and S9 serial number guitars were completed as late as 1982. A few small changes make this one affordable. It has had a different pickguard assembly installed at one time. The original pickguard has been put back on. The volume and tone pots are newer and it has an older 3 way pickup selector installed. No biggie. Its a vintage player at a great price. Includes an aftermarket hard shell case.
