This is a pretty rare version of the SG Special, only produced for a few years in the 1970’s with these specs and features. This example plays great with super low easy action. It has been upgraded with an absolutely amazing sounding set of Seymour Duncan Vintage mini humbuckers. These pickups produce warm long sustain with a nice top end bite. Sort of a mix between a P-90 and a humbucker. Great guitar for primal Blues tones or Rock N Roll. Other than the Duncans, the guitar is all original with no breaks, repairs, or issues. Like many vintage Gibson guitars from the 70’s, it has a “2” over the serial number which makes this one a cosmetic second. The high E tuner does have a slight bend which is only cosmetic and doesn’t affect the guitar in anyway. Overall the guitar is in super nice condition for being a 37 years old. Nice collectable vintage Gibson guitar for less money than a new SG Standard. Why not buy something vintage and cool? Includes its original hard shell case.
