Hofner 8 String Guitar

Super mega rare Hofner 8 string guitar / bass. The first 6 strings are normal guitar strings, the last 2 strings are bass strings. There are 2 separate outputs, one for each pickup and string set. I have never seen another one of these, perhaps a one off or prototype instrument, can’t say for sure. I do not know the date of this instrument. Judging from the build quality and style, I would venture to guess that it was produced sometime in the 80’s or 90’s. It plays extremely well and has a very cool sound. It features 2 outputs so you can run the first 6 strings into a guitar amp and the last two bass strings into a bass amp. It shows some player wear, few tiny dings and clear coat wear, nothing major at all. Very cool and unusual instrument. Comes with a free gig bag,
