OK, here is the scoop. This is an extremely early and rare 100 percent original Mustang. All early first year features that you rarely ever see on this model. Clay dot neck inlays, L series serial number neck plate, and Single Line Kluson Tuners. This is the version of the Mustang to collect. Very few were made like this. This example has a Oct 1964 neck date, 64 pots, 64 everything... except the neck pickup which is dated 1-6-65. So the final assembly was the first week of 1965. Pretty cool indeed. Again...100 percent original. no changes, beautiful Factory Olympic White with a great naturally aged tint. Really nice clean example. The BEST !!! Includes its original hard shell case.

I have never seen another Fender from this era finished in this color before. It is not Ocean Turquoise. To early to be Chrome Blue or Electric Blue. Looks too bright to be Lake Placid Blue..... One of only a hundred made with unique reverse '70s headstock and vintage white treatment.

This Reverse Proto Stratocaster Master-built guitar features a two-piece select alder body with a vintage white finish that has been given the "Closet Classic" treatment-built as if bought new in its respective model year, played maybe a few times a year and then carefully put away. It has a few small dings, a mildly checked finish, lightly oxidized hardware, and aged plastic parts.

The one-piece maple neck has a reverse, late '60s-style large headstock with the word "Proto" stamped on the back and '70s F tuning machines. Features include a matching belly-cut contour on the front of the body, a '70s-style cast bridge with cast saddles, three Custom '69 grey bobbin single-coil pickups, a late '70s-style thin black-and-gold serialized logo decal, and early '80s-style "F"-stamped neck plate with black plastic gasket. It comes with a limited-edition black hardshell case, special Custom Shop limited edition certificate, and DVD.
