The Peter Frampton Les Paul Special comes from the Gibson Custom Shop's Inspired By series of artist-developed guitars. Using his original 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior as a jumping off point, Peter Frampton worked closely with the Gibson Custom Shop luthiers to develop an electric guitar that would embody the keen vintage sensibilities and highly personalized specs he is known for. At first glance, the Peter Frampton Signature model looks like the classic Les Paul Junior it's based on, but closer inspection reveals several unique specs.

The mahogany top covers a weight-relieved mahogany back and the ebony fingerboard and super-slim neck profile call to mind the neck found on the Custom Shop's Peter Frampton Signature Les Paul Custom. However, the three independently wired pickups are single-coil P-90s instead of the humbuckers found on the Signature Custom. The end result is a guitar that is lightweight, highly responsive, and full of tonal options.

Unlike standard production Les Paul Junior and Special models, the Peter Frampton Signature model has a 2-piece body. A mahogany top covers a honeycomb-routed mahogany back, yielding a light yet very responsive guitar. Each single coil P-90 pickup on the Frampton Signature Junior has a dedicated volume control, allowing each pickup to be blended in with or isolated from the others. The volume knob for the middle pickup allows it to be added to any pickup arrangement selected with the 3-way toggle switch, which functions as it would on a 2-pickup guitar: up for the rhythm pickup, down for the treble, and middle position for both. A master tone knob controls all three pickups.

This guitar is simply amazing and incredibly cool on many levels. Firstly it is from the original Gibson Custom Shop PILOT RUN of 25, as stamped on the back of the headstock. I do not give out serial numbers in consideration of the new owners privacy. This is one of the first 25 made and from the original Pilot Run, so I would consider this to be an EXCELLENT INVESTMENT. As a guitar it is truly a wonderful instrument with several unique features not found on any other Les Pauls, not to mention an exceptional playing / sounding guitar. THREE P-90 PICKUPS !!!!! Come on...what could be better than that???

One of only a hundred made with unique reverse '70s headstock and vintage white treatment.

This Reverse Proto Stratocaster Master-built guitar features a two-piece select alder body with a vintage white finish that has been given the "Closet Classic" treatment-built as if bought new in its respective model year, played maybe a few times a year and then carefully put away. It has a few small dings, a mildly checked finish, lightly oxidized hardware, and aged plastic parts.

The one-piece maple neck has a reverse, late '60s-style large headstock with the word "Proto" stamped on the back and '70s F tuning machines. Features include a matching belly-cut contour on the front of the body, a '70s-style cast bridge with cast saddles, three Custom '69 grey bobbin single-coil pickups, a late '70s-style thin black-and-gold serialized logo decal, and early '80s-style "F"-stamped neck plate with black plastic gasket. It comes with a limited-edition black hardshell case, special Custom Shop limited edition certificate, and DVD interview with Master Builder Dennis Galuszka.

Here's a killer sounding LP Deluxe with tons of vibe that won't break the bank. The scoop is this....., changed tuners, missing the pickguard, black jack plate. That's all, not so bad.... over 30 years old and still rock n hard. If you have never had mini humbuckers,,,,oh man ,,what a cool thing. They have the smooth mids and warm bottom of a PAF style humbucker but with added clarity and a nice top end bite. Condition?????? This one has seen plenty of club gigs and has some serious hard earned mojo. Belt buckle, dings, wear, vibe....I guess that means it's not mint...BUT SUPER COOL VINTAGE VIBE for low dollars. For those of you who missed the last super clean 57 ES-225 I sold a few weeks ago....Here's another one just as nice ....if not even cleaner than the last one. 
This is an amazing sounding / playing vintage guitar in 100 percent original super clean condition except repro tuner buttons. [ originals shrunk...as they often do ]  One screaming P-90 pickup in the middle position. Believe it or not, if you are only going to have one pickup on your es-225, it may be best in the middle position. It has a really cool sounding midrange bite. Roll down the tone knob and you can get some cool mellow tones as well. This guitar is beyond fun to play, 50's vintage, and still affordable. What's not to love????? Rockabilly, blues, or early rock n roll, this guitar can do it all. Comes with a recent hard shell case.
